About the project

Co-presented by Hong Kong Arts Centre, Public Art Hong Kong and the MTRC, the new MTR “Whampoa Station” will be brought alive with two paintings by the local renowned artists, Lam Tung Pang.

To create an artwork which symbolizes Whampoa, two Community Workshops were held on 28 September 2013 and 26 October 2013. 30 pairs of primary school children and their parents have participated in it to bring inspiration to Lam Tung Pang. The final artwork will be displayed at the Whampoa Station platform upon the station’s operation in 2015.
